General description

Helles is the southern German answer to Pilsner. It was first marketed in 1894 by Spatenbrau from Munich and has been the most popular beer in Bavaria ever since. Like Pilsner, a Helles is bright and golden yellow, but the taste is more refined. Because the beer is not very bitter, the taste of the noble German hops and the beautiful malts comes out well. It is truly a beer that tastes like beer.
