CITY TRIP
KÖLSCH type
5% VOL. Alc.
In Cologne, the brewers developed their own blond, refreshing beer that could be used as a weapon in the fight against the Pilsner advancing from the south. This beer is Kölsch. Officially, you can only brew it if you can see the Dom in Cologne from the roof of the brewery. We apparently have very good eyes.
CITY TRIP
DÜSSELDORF ALT
5% VOL. Alc.
In Cologne they think the Alt beer from Düsseldorf downstream on the Rhine is rubish. It is said there that you first drink a Kölsch in Cologne, empty yourself in the Rhine, after which it is fished out again in Düsseldorf as Alt. That’s of course all kif because Alt is really a delicious amber-colored beer.
CITY TRIP
MUNICH HELLES
5% VOL. Alc.
During our City Trip we visit the southern German city of Munich. Here we find the origin of the Helles. Do not confuse this beer with Pilsner, because then you will offend the locals. Helles is softer and more refined in taste, contains less CO2 and is perhaps that is why it is so easy to drink.
